Reuters is reporting that Genting International has said that it has chosen Low Keng Huat to build the city-state’s first Hard Rock Hotel in a deal worth more than S$340 million ($246.6 million). The Hard Rock Hotel will be one of six hotels at the planned S$6 billion Resorts World at Sentosa casino-resort, which is expected to be completed by 2010.
There are already several Hard Rock hotels as part of casino complexes, most in the US. Florida has a few, Biloxi, Mississippi has one, there is one being built in Macau, but the most notable one is the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
